    HEATEXPO takes place from Tuesday, November 26 - Thursday, November 28, 2024.


    Opening hours

    The fair is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 - 17:00 and on Thursday from 10:00 - 16:00 h.

  • ARRIVAL & PARKING

    Direct connection through the B1 (A 40) to the freeways:


    A 1 "Hansalinie

    A 2 "Berlin-Hanover-Dortmund-Oberhausen"

    A42 "Duisburg-Dortmund

    A44 "Dortmund-Kassel

    A45 "Sauerlandlinie"


    On the freeways, signs will show you the way.

    If you are using a navigation system, please enter "Maurice-Vast-Straße" as the destination address. From the destination address, please follow the signs in the vicinity.


    Parking

    Parking spaces A3, A4 and A8 are available directly at the Westfalenhallen for HEATEXPO. If these are occupied, you can also use the parking spaces C1/C2, D2, E1, as well as parking space M (Mercedes). On Saturday and Sunday, parking lots E3 and D1 will also be open for you.


    The parking fee is a maximum of 9,00 EUR* per car on all parking areas.


    Charging station for electric vehicles


    For all those traveling with an electric car, we have 2 electric charging stations with a total of 4 charging options in the immediate vicinity.

    Arrive relaxed - travel sustainably. Your event ticket at a fixed price nationwide. From any DB station, city ticket included on the booked day of arrival and departure.

    By public transport


    The U 45 subway line (direction Westfalenhallen) takes you comfortably from Dortmund Central Station to the "Westfalenhallen" stop in 10 minutes.


    From the Dortmund city center (subway stations Reinoldikirche or Stadtgarten), the U 46 (direction Westfalenhallen) will also take you to the "Westfalenhallen" stop in about 5 minutes.


    Alternatively, take the U 42 (direction Hombruch) to the stop "Theodor-Fliedner-Heim". From here it is only a few minutes' walk to the exhibition center.


    The route to the Westfalenhallen is signposted at the above stops. All of the stops listed above are handicapped accessible.

  • WIFI

    Messe Dortmund is pleased to be able to offer you access to the CityWLAN of the city of Dortmund, which is operated by the telecommunications provider DOKOM21.


    It goes without saying that WIFI use is completely free of charge for visitors, exhibitors, organisers and all other persons on the exhibition grounds.


    Accessing the WIFI takes just a few steps:


    • Switch on the WIFI on the terminal device
    • Connect to the WIFI network "Hotspot Westfalenhallen 
    • The Westfalenhallen Dortmund login screen will open.
    • Alternatively: Open browser (Safari, Firefox etc.)
    • Call up any unencrypted page (e.g. www.web.de).
    • This will take you to the login screen
    • Click on the button "Free access
    • Accept the General Terms and Conditions and the Terms of Use (tick the box) and click on the "Log in" button.
    • Done.
  • ACCESSIBILITY

    ACCESSIBILITY OF THE HALLS

    Our entire exhibition center is accessible for wheelchair users. Halls 4 to 8 are interconnected and at ground level. The upper halls (Westfalenhalle and Halls 1-3) and higher rooms in the Congress Center can be reached by elevators. In all halls you will find sanitary facilities for the disabled, which are reserved for the exclusive use of visitors with physical disabilities via the Eurokey locking system.


    WHEELCHAIR RENTAL

    Wheelchairs can be rented from the gatekeeper at the North Entrance. (Attention: Only a small number of wheelchairs are available.)


    SANITARY FACILITIES

    Disabled toilets are located in the North Entrance, in the passage from Hall 4 to Hall 7, in the passage to Hall 3, in the Passage and in the West Entrance.


    WAYFINDING SYSTEM

    Our wayfinding system is designed to meet the needs of people with visual and learning disabilities in terms of both contrast and intelligibility.


    PARKING FACILITIES

    Our disabled parking spaces on the exhibition grounds are kept free by the stewards and are therefore not directly signposted. In this way, we ensure that the parking spaces closest to the respective entrance are available to you, depending on the trade fair. Please inform the parking attendants of your situation when you arrive. Severely disabled persons who have a blue additional parking permit will be directed to a parking space near the entrance by the steward personnel. Parking on our exhibition grounds is free of charge.

  • SHOPPING TOUR IN DORTMUND

    Westenhellweg


    Westenhellweg is the main shopping street in Dortmund. It is a pedestrian zone, so you can go on a shopping spree completely undisturbed by cars.


    Thier-Galerie (Westenhellweg 102-106)


    If you walk along Westenhellweg, you will come across Dortmund's modern shopping centre, the "Thier-Galerie". Built on the former site of the Thier brewery. 160 shops await visitors in a new and modern ambience.

    The "Qualitätsroute Dortmund" is an association of owner-managed shops in Dortmund. Discover the city and all its highlights away from the city centre.


    For all football fans: The BVB FanWelt (opposite Messe Dortmund, Strobelallee 41).


    The complete BVB fan article range is presented on two 600 square metres. Around 1000 different items are on offer.


    Opening hours: Monday - Saturday 10:00 - 18:00, on home match days until one hour after the end of the match. On Sunday match days from 10:00 am until one hour after the end of the match.

    Rosenterrassen 

    The Rosenterrassen restaurant at the Mercure Hotel Dortmund Messe invites you to a daily lunch buffet. Enjoy the proximity to the Westfalenhallen in a modern ambience. Whether before or after trade fairs and events or before BVB home games: The Rose Terraces are always a good choice.

    The rooms are barrier-free and can be reached with excellent public transport connections. 

    On seven days, guests can choose from a rich lunch buffet from 12:00 to 14:30.

    Kietztörtchen - The Café in Dortmund's Kreuzviertel (Essener Straße 12, www.kieztoertchen.de)

    Not far from the Westfalenhallen is the "Kietztörtchen", a café that places great value on regional and seasonal products. The speciality of the house is, of course, tartlets and coffee drinks, but a small lunch menu also attracts visitors to the Kreuzviertel.

    Right next to the "Kietztörtchen", the "monchi Kitchen" serves sushi, soups and chicken teriyaki for lunch and dinner, lovingly prepared, in a small restaurant with turquoise walls and a special flair.

    A quaint and modern restaurant. It is the parent house of the Dortmunder Kronen and offers good, seasonal dishes.


    "Brückstraßenviertel" - snack bars and nightlife

    From the underground stations Hauptbahnhof, Kampstraße or Reinoldikirche you can get directly to the Brückstraßenviertel. The district, which is largely pedestrianised, is known for its many restaurants and snack bars - but also for its vibrant nightlife. (Google Maps - Brückstr.)

    Please note that with the Federal Foreign Office's decree of July 24, 2013, the visa offices of the German embassies and consulates worldwide were informed about the following: When requesting accompanying documents for the application for a trade fair visa for visitors and/ or exhibitors, the invitation letter from the trade fair company can be referred to usually be waived.


    Should you nevertheless require a letter of invitation independently of this decree, you can easily create one yourself. Please fill out the following form with your personal data. Please pay special attention to the correct spelling of your data, as they will be taken over unchanged. You will then receive an e-mail with your personal invitation letter to print out.
