HEATEXPO 2026 continues its growth trajectory: New Hall 7 expands exhibition
New “Energy Generation” hall brings together cutting-edge HVAC technologies and big-name market players, and takes a fresh look at heating and cooling.
The HEATEXPO 2026 continues to grow and is expanding its exhibition concept to encompass two halls for the first time. From 24 to 26 November 2026, the Dortmund Exhibition Centre will be focusing even more sharply on energy generation as the next big arena of development with the addition of the new Hall 7. This sees the HEATEXPO steadily building on its reputation as the flagship international trade show for innovative heating and cooling solutions by offering more room for stakeholders to stage innovative technologies and present hot topics covering the entire value chain.
Dortmund, 16 April 2026 – “By adding the new Hall 7, we’re sending a clear signal indicating the ongoing development of the HEATEXPO to reflect the dynamism of a rapidly evolving market,” said Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe which owns and operates the Messe Dortmund venue. “We’re creating more space for exhibitors, content, and networking opportunities, putting energy generation centre-stage in the spotlight.”
The new Hall 7 is all about generating energy for heating and cooling. The focus is on the latest, leading-edge developments in large-scale heat pumps, plant engineering, geothermal energy, and other innovative energy sources. The new hall pools a plethora of solutions for the sustainable and efficient generation of energy in a sector that is increasingly gaining traction across companies, utilities, and project organisations.
Industry heavyweights in attendance
This expansion has been conceived with the market in mind, as reflected by the involvement of key players. Viessmann, GEA, Max Weishaupt, INNIO Jenbacher, GNV, Terra Calidus, 2G Energy, AGO Anlagenbau, Schmidmeier NaturEnergie and SKADEC, and many others, will be parading their products in Hall 7. The additional hall is seen as sending a strong signal across the industry that the HEATEXPO is firmly established as a leading forum for technical innovation, new projects, and strategic market initiatives.
New stage and Start-up Area
Another highlight in Hall 7 is the new stage, which offers even greater visibility for solutions and enterprises and serves as a platform for technical discussion and debate. The emphasis here will be on the latest developments, technological trends and best-practice use cases in the industry. The stage is neatly complemented by a Start-up Area conceived as an innovation hub and meeting point where emerging companies can connect and exchange fresh ideas.
With Hall 4 continuing to showcase the central themes of the exhibition, the addition of Hall 7 sees the HEATEXPO 2026 extending over two halls for the first time. “This development further refines and strengthens our trade fair concept,” Sabine Loos added. “Whilst Hall 7 offers additional space for topics of future importance and innovations tailored to satisfy market demand, Hall 4 primarily showcases infrastructure, services, and municipal applications. This will give the flagship international trade show for innovative heating and cooling solutions a clearer, more true-to-life profile, making it even more valuable for exhibitors and trade visitors alike.” As a partner of the HEATEXPO, VDMA Power Systems is also clearly positioned in Hall 7 with a focus on process heat in industrial applications. This sees the exhibition thoughtfully integrating and spotlighting a sector of increasing significance for industrial applications and investment, firmly embedded in a new hall layout. Process heat, industrial applications, and practical solutions for enterprises are among the key matters of interest that have shaped the specialist content programme at the HEATEXPO since 2025, and are set to see further development in 2026.
